As we have seen that the drum or percussion instrument is one of the traditional musical instrument that is almost in all parts of the country, including in the province of West Sulawesi. Drum usually made of wood that is played by striking like a percussion instrument. In terms of size, there are several kinds of drum sizes, some small, some medium, and there were great.
It is quite simple, drums can sound just by hitting the tip of the stretched skin of the drum. Either by using a beater, or directly using a hand to ring. If viewed from the function, the drum is actually one musical instrument that does not have scales, but the drum acts as a determinant of how quickly or tempo of a traditional music performance.
Actually, not only the traditional music because the present is also not rare to see modern music that uses a drum. Examples dangdut songs are definitely using a small drum or is in the dangdut music plays.

2. Talindo
Talindo is a traditional musical instrument of West Sulawesi which may also be found in other provinces in Sulawesi Island which is played by plucking. This instrument is almost the same as the guitar, it's just the shape and his voice is still typical of traditional musical instruments.
