East Java

Hello guys, today I'll tell about another province in Indonesia, sooo here it is...


East Java


East Java is a province of Indonesia. It is located on the eastern part of the island of Java. It covers an area of 47,800 km2. Also it has a land border only with the province of Central Java to the west, being surrounded by sea on all other sides. The capital of East Java is Surabaya.

Tourism Site

East Java have some nice places to visit, such as, Gunung Kawi, Air Terjun Sedudo, Makam Proklamator RI di Blitar, Karapan Sapi Di Pamekasan, Kawah dan Gunung Bromo, Pantai Prigi, Museum Trowulan, Pantai Pasir Putih Slopeng, Tretes Baluran, Kali Klatak,Taman Candra Walwatikta.

Traditional Dance

Tari Remong is a traditional dance of the East Java region. The main characteristics of Tari Remong is smart footwork and dynamic, illustrates the dynamic nature of the people of East Java. Accompaniment used in this dance is gamelan music.



Traditional House

The traditional house of East Java is a model of traditional house which is under influence of home Madura. The house did not have a back door and without the rooms anyway. Front porch where guests receive a male and female guests received on the back porch. They entered from the side of the house.





Traditional Weapon

Celurit is the traditional weapon that have curved blades, blade shape is what became his trademark. This weapon is very sharp, so be careful to use it.





Traditional Costume

Traditional Costume of East Java is Pakaian Aadat Madura. For the men usually wear a shirt or shirt color dappled combined long-sleeved black shirt. For subordinates wearing three-quarter pants. Patterned fabric draped on his shoulders, waist while wearing a belt size. The head of a man wearing a headband, usually black. Then, the women usually wear kebaya tied at the ends. Matching subordinates are wearing batik cloth fabric coated again with a size up to the knee. Jewelry is usually worn necklaces and anklets.




Traditional Music Instrument

Bonang, the sound source is from ideofon,  beaten with special beater , Sitar, Javanese Gamelan.
