Central Sulawesi




Central Sulawesi province is the largest island of Sulawesi province with a land area of 68.033 square kilometers and a sea area of 189.480 square kilometers, is located at the western islands malukudan southern part of the Philippines. Is administratively divided into nine districts and one, cities, districts Donggala, parigi Moutong, Poso, Morowali, Tojo Unauna, Banggai, Banggai islands Tolitol, Buol and Sigi and city hammer. The total population of Central Sulawesi 2.875 million inhabitants according the 2007 census.
Due to its strategic location, the port - port became a haven of ships Portuguese and Spanish more than 500 years ago. In January 1580, Sir Francis Drake's trotter with his ship the Golden Hind had stopped at one of the small islands east coast of the province during the month. Although there is no historical record, proof stopover sailors Portugal and Spain in this country still exist as in the form of clothing to today's society.

Tourism Site
Central Sulawesi has some tourism site, such as

1. Likunggawali Waterfall



This tourism is a steep cliff climbing more than 80 meters and has a beautiful natural scenery. At this location there are also waterfalls and trekking paths that pass through several villages in the vicinity, namely Likunggawali Line - Janaedo (a trekking path from the east coast to the west coast) and trekking paths Towera - Janaedo.
On the trekking path Linggawali - Janaedo, which can be seen is the waterfall Toranaya and at certain times in the location of the waterfall can be seen white swallow nests (Callocalia Fuchipagus) . The path to the waterfall is still very natural 


2. Tanjung Karang



Tanjung Karng is the most important tourist sites in the region as well be one of the flagship attraction Central Sulawesi province . The coast of Cape Coral is located approximately 5 km north of Donggala.
Not far from there is Tanjung Karang Beach attractions Pusentasi. A brine wells are located approximately 10 meters from the beach with a diameter of approximately 15 meters and a depth of approximately 7 meters.

3. Togean Island


Togean beautiful and exotic island especially underwater nature that have a variety of tropical reef in large sizes and various species of fish and crab crab.
This Togean island region there is Mount Merapi volcano erupted Colo ever in the early eighties.
Small islands in Togean also has a white sandy beach for sunbathing and at dusk to enjoy the sunset.
The beauty of the coral islands Togean add natural beauty, the islands are located in the middle of the Gulf  of Tomini this overgrown forest areas were untouched and became a sanctuary for the animals in it .


Traditional house



In Central Sulawesi, shelter residents called Tambi. This house is home to all segments of society .This house forms a rectangle with the terms of the average size of 7x, facing north - south, because there may be facing or back to the direction of the sun. Glance home construction purposes such as mushroom -shaped prism made of thatch or palm leaves.
The uniqueness of this stage house is the roof that also serves as a wall. Alas the house containing an array of wooden beams, while the foundation is made of natural stone. Traditional dances 
Central Sulawesi has some traditional dances and each of them have the different functions. the daances are 

1. Modero 

Modero, is a group dance performed by young and old at the time of the harvest feast ( vunja ) . This dance is danced in the middle of rice fields, usually until morning. The purpose of this dance is an expression of gratitude for the success of the harvest, as well as an entertainment for the farmers after working hard.


2. Balia

Balia, is a dance associated with animism, that the cult of sacred objects, particularly relating to traditional medicine to someone who is affected by evil spirits.



Traditional costume


Nggembe 

Nggembe shirt is the clothing worn by young women. This dress usually worn during the ceremony customary.
Nggembe clothes rectangular, round collared sleeved fabric width, length blouse to the waist and loose shape. Nggembe armor is equipped with shampoo covering the chest or chest and wear clothing sequins as a sweetener. Donggala sarong into the bottom of this garment accessories. Donggala who have a certain type of thread of gold in Kaili language called Buya Sabe Kumbaja.

Traditional weapons


pasatimpo

A kind of famous traditional weapons in Central Sulawesi is pasatimpo, a type of machete sheath upstream crooked and given rope. Types of long guns are often used by the community in the form of a spear, which consists of kanjae and surampa (three-eyed as a weapon trident) 

Musical instrument
 Central Sulawesi has some musical instrument such as, Suling, Gendang, ganda and also Gong,  




Suling

Distilled this one is not too different from the traditional flute coming from other provinces in Indonesia . Usually made of bamboo and made with various sizes and models .

Gong
Gong also used in Central Sulawesi as one of traditional musical instruments . Usually made from metal or copper is more convex center as a place to hit the Gong . Named Gong because it is identical to the sound that seemed to chime sound " ... Gong Gong Gong .. " .

Gendang

As in general, the drum is a traditional musical instrument commonly used in Central Sulawesi with a mix of various traditional musical instruments over to play traditional music that are fun , especially in the province of Central Sulaw
