Bali

Hello everybody, today I'd like to tell you about one of the most popular province in Indonesia. Many tourists like to visit this province, and maybe you'd like to visit it too...


Bali



Bali is an island and province of Indonesia. It is located at the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. The area is about 5.636.66 km2. The capital of Bali is Denpasar.

There are so many good places to visit in Bali, such as, Pantai Kuta, Pantai Sanur, Pura Tanah Lot, Pura Taman Ayun, Pura Goa Lawah, Pura Luwur Uliuwatu, Pura Bekasih, Pura Bukit Gajah, Pantai Jungut,Ubud, Trunyam, Werdi Budaya,Museum Bali, Desa Penelokan, Desa Kintamani, Desa Kamasan, Danau Batur, Bedugul, Istana Tampak Siring, Art Centre Abain Kapas, Pantai Lovina, Mandaa Wisata Mengwi, Museum Le Mayeur.

Traditional Dance

Tari Pendet is a worship dance which exhibit in temples or places of worship of Hindus in Bali. This dance symbolizes the descent of the gods to the reception on the natural world. People in Bali make Tari  Pendet as a welcome dance.

Traditonal House

Gapura Candi Bentar is the traditional house of Bali. The feature of this house is in front of his house there was a kind of gate. Once inside the hall we will  find balai bengong, which serves as a place to relax. Then, there will be also some buildings, such as balai pengambuhan as art galleries, balai paruman as  a meeting hall , balai rangki as a place to save the equipment ceremonies, and also balai gede as the place where the ceremony hold. In other parts of the building there are a kitchen, granary, and also homes for boys and girls.



Traditional Weapon

Keris is a traditional weapon of Bali. Just like another Keris in general, but the difference is bigger and longer. Wrap the sheath dressed fancy, decorated with gold, silver, ivory, and rare wood material which is decorated with carvings.

Traditional Costume

Payas Agung is the traditional costume of Bali. For the men wear a headband wrapped around the head and ears tucked in the flowers. Parts of the body is covered with a cloth from the chest to the foot. And put a keris Bali on his back. For the women wear songket cloth wrapped around the chest to toe. Then, still wrapped in its outer fabric again, from the chest to below the knee. And she wear shawl on her shoulder. Balinese woman wearing a hair bun decorated with flowers.

Ceng-ceng, the sound source is from ideofon, we laid both of our hands, patted it then it will produce the sound, and also Gamelan Bali.
