guys, now I would like to tell you about one of province in Indonesia. Here we
go.
North Sulawesi is one of the 32
provinces in the
Republic of Indonesia, with its capital city being Manado (formely also called
"Menado"). This region with an area of 1,533,698 ha is located at
0º30"- 4º 3" North Latitude and 121º127" East Longitude.Based on
the regional government system, North Sulawesi is subdivided into the Manado
Municipality, Bolaang Mongondow District, Sangihe Talaud District and Bitung
Municipality. To the North this region borders on the Republic of the
Philippines, Sulawesi Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The Eastern part is on the
Maluku Sea and the Southern side is the Tomini Gulf. The western part borders
Gorontalo Province which until the end of 2000 was a part of North Sulawesi and
then became an own province. The terrain is extremely mountainous and
hilly, stretching from Lembean - Wulur Mahatus mountain chain (in Minahasa)
continuing to Mount Ambang- Mount Gambuta (in Bolaang Mongondow). In Sangihe
Talaud there are both active and extinct volcanoes, some towering 1,800 - 2,000
meters. Rich volcanic ash has blessed North Sulawesi with fertile lands; the
highlands and lowlands producing rice, coconut, clove, nutmeg, vanilla and
vegetables. The plains produce rice and corn in Dumoga, Ayong and Sangkub
(Bolaang Mongondow). Plateaus in Tondano (Minahasa) also produce rice and corn,
while Modoinding is know for its vegetables. Sangihe Talaud is recognized for
its high quality nutmeg and Rumbia Trees (Sago Palm the source of a special
flour for traditional cookies/snack).

Sulawesi have some places that interesting to visited, they are
1. 1. Bunaken Island
It should be recognized that this is a tourist destination you must visit
if you're in North Sulawesi. Not fit if were in Manado in North Sulawesi when not visiting the island
of Bunaken . Bunaken Island itself has an area of 8.08 km² and is located in
the bay Manad. The beauty of Bunaken marine park could no doubt, many
travelers who visit the island of Bunaken which was struck by the beauty of
Bunaken marine park. To achieve this island only takes about 30 minutes by fast
boat (speed boat) from Manado. Bunaken marine park itself has about 20 point
dive with varying depths up to 1344 meters. From about 20 point dive, 12 points
of which are located around Bunaken Island.
2. 1. Siladen Island
The island is located to the northeast of the island of Bunaken and has an area of 31.25 ha. The island is surrounded by white sand beaches and the sea are coral reefs with diverse marine life forms and colors that form a sea taaman quite beautiful. You can menikamati beauty of the sea in this island while traveling , boat rides glass ( catamarans ) , snorkeling , diving ( diving ) , and underwater photography ( underwater photographs ) and of course sunbathing on the beach with white sand .
1. 3. Bukit Kasih
Bukit kasih which is located in District Kawangkoan Minahasa district is a tourist place that symbolizes the symbol of harmony among religious adherents in North Sulawesi province. In this place there are all places of worship religious community. To reach this point takes about 90 minutes from Manado.
4. Linow Lake
Still little is known of the existence of this place, but Linow is one of the interesting sights in North Sulawesi. To go to the lake Linow requires approximately 50 minutes travel time from Manado. Linow lake and Mount Prayer Tomohon is a tourist spot which is managed by the private sector (the same person) . What's interesting about this lake is the color of the water of this lake is often discolored.

Underwater Volcanoes Mahagetang
Mahangetang volcanoes in the waters of the island Mahangetang district. Tatoareng Sangihe. Underwater volcano is still active and are in shallow waters so to see it can be done with a dive. The local community often refer to this place as “ Banua Wuhu “

House
Province of North
Sulawesi has two traditional houses, they are Walewangko and Bolaang Mangondow.
I will explain more about that below
1. Bolaang Mangondow House
This one house has a roof that is transverse to the ridge that is a bit steep. Section ladder in front of the house with a porch without walls. Traditional Dances
North Sulawwesi has some traditional dances such as Mahambak, Maengket, Kabasaran and Mesalai. Each of them have the different of function, but I just explain you about Tari Mesalai.

Tari Mesalai
Mesalai is one of the traditional dances that originated from North Sulawesi province. Art that grows and develops in Sangihe Talaud community was once part of a ritual as the embodiment of gratitude to Genggona Langi Duatung Saluruang (God Most High Lord of the Universe) for all the grace that has been given him. However , along with the times and the entry of new religions , dance mesalai currently also used as a complement to traditional ceremonies and celebration , such as circumcision , marriage , built a new house , the inauguration of a new boat and so forth .
Traditional Costume
North Sulawesi has four etnic such as Minahasa, Gorontalo, Sangir Talaud,and Mongondow. This four ethnic groups has its own customs, although in some cases there are similarities. So even when we talk about traditional clothing. I will tell about traditional clothes of the provincial capital of North Sumatra , Manado.
At the wedding ceremony, the bride wore a dress consisting of a white baju kebaya and sarong cloth embroidered motif embroidered in white with fish scales. The model is called the bride's dress shirt mermaid. Besides sarong motivated mermai , there is also a bird's nest motif sarong , called the model salimburung , sarong motifs millipedes , centipedes and models referred floral sarong , called laborci - laborci .
The groom wore clothing that consists of a closed or open shirt jacket. Trousers, waist scarves and hats ( Porong ) . Wedding dress shirt jacket is closed, called tatutu fashion. Pieces tatutu is a long-sleeved shirt, did not have a collar and pockets. Motive in this fashion is rice flower motif, which is found in ornate hat, collar, scarf waist and both sleeves.
Traditional Weapons
North Sulawesi has three traditional weapons such as keris , peda and sabel and I would like to explain about Keris. Keris typical North Sulawesi shaped straight, no curve. This weapon stabbing weapon category.
Musical Instrument Province of North Sulawesi has three musical instrument, they are
1. Kolintang
Kolintang is a famous traditional musical instrument in the area of Minahasa, North Sulawesi. Materials for making this kolintang is wood. Some are made of wood called wood bandaran, ata wood treatment, etc. Generally wood is made to make Kolintang light wood is wood, but has a solid wood fiber.This instrument is played by striking. Even this famous Kolintang can issue a unique sound because it can be used to remove noise low and high pitch tone.
2. Bansi
The brass musical instrument similar types of bamboo flutes. It's just the tip of a blow it was made a little bit wide. Unlike flute blown from the trunk horizontally, but Bansi is blown with a vertical position so as places to blow it at one end. Bansi is usually played with a mix of various other musical instruments to create a distinctive traditional music.
3. Salude
Salude is a stringed musical instrument that has two strings. Made of wood and almost equal to the stringed zither. The resulting sound of traditional musical instruments of North Sulawesi this one is quite unique and melodious.
