Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam

Aceh which was previously known by the name of the Special Region of Aceh (1959-2001) and Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (2001-2009) is the westernmost province in Indonesia. The area is about 57.365,57 km². This area is bordered by the Bay of Bengal in the north, the Indian Ocean to the west, the Strait of Malacca in the east, and North Sumatra in southeast and south. The capital of Aceh is Banda Aceh.

And there are some popular places to go in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam like Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser, Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman, Taman Laut Pulau Rubiah, Danau Anuek Laot, Iboih, Bekas Kerajaan Samudera Pasai, Pemandian Air Panas Simpang Balek, Taman Putroe Phang, Pinto Khop, Danau Laut Tawar, Perpustakaan Islam Tanah Abee, Museum Negeri Banda Aceh, Gunongan and Benteng Indrapatra.

Traditional Dances

Aceh province has at least 10 ethnic groups, has a wealth of dance very much and also very impressive like Tari Seudati, Tari Saman, Tari Ranup Lam Puan, Tari Meuseukat, Tari Kipah Sikarang Aceh, Tari Aceh Gempar, Tari Mulia Ratep Aceh, Tari Rapai Geleng Aceh, Tari Turun Kuaih Aunen Aceh, Tari Bungong Seulanga Aceh, Tari Seudati Ratoh Aceh, Tari Nayak Padi Aceh, Tari Saman Jaton Aceh, Tari Kipah Sitangke Aceh, Tari Dodaidi Aceh, Tari Likok Puloe Aceh, Tari Didong Gayo Aceh, Tari Tarek Pukat Aceh, Tari Aceh Ek U Gle, Tari Aceh Dara Meukipah Tari Aceh Top Pade. But the most famous dances at the national level and even the world is Dance Rateb Meuseukat and Saman.

Traditional House 

Acehnese traditional house called Rumoh Aceh. The traditional house-type house on stilts with 3 main parts and an additional section. Three main parts of Aceh is home Seuramoe keuë (front porch), Seuramoe Teungoh (porch middle) and Seuramoe likôt (back porch). Meanwhile, an additional section that is rumoh dapu (home kitchen).

Traditional Weapons 

Rencong is the traditional weapon of Aceh, its shape resembles the letter L, and if you look closer its shape was writing bismillah calligraphy. Rencong included in the category of dagger or knife (not a knife or sword). Besides rencong, the nation of Aceh also has several other unique weapons, such as siwah, geuliwang and peudeueng.

Pidie is the traditional costume of Aceh. Men wear a neck coat closed, no golden embroidery decorates the collar. This suit comes tight trousers called weasel. Dressed in a sarong around her waist so memorable dashing. The sarong is made of silk disongket. Headed dagger blade gold / silver and jeweled belt slipped. The head is covered cap, which is popularly called makutup. And women wear long-sleeved shirt to hips brackets. Collar is very unique, resembling a typical Chinese collar. Bottom wear long pants patterned coated gloves are folded up to the knee. Sarong pattern is embroidered in gold. Jewelry worn is necklaces, bracelets, anklets, earrings, and belts (pending) gold.
