 Who`s Indonesian people that don`t know about Jakarta ?? we think we all know about it , right ?? In this post, we would like to tell you about it
Jakatra officially known as the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (Indonesian: Daerah Khusus Ibu Kota Jakarta), is the capital and largest city of Indonesia, and one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world.Located on the northwest coast of Java, Jakarta is the country's economic, cultural and political centre, and with a population of 9,761,407 as of December 2012, it is the most populous city in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia. The official metropolitan area, known as Jabodetabek (a name formed by combining the initial syllables of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi), is the second largest in the world, yet the metropolis's suburbs still continue beyond it.Established in the fourth century, the city became an important trading port for the Kingdom of Sunda. It was the de facto capital of the Dutch East Indies (known as Batavia at that time). Today, the city has continued as the capital of Indonesia since the country's independence was declared in 1945. The city is currently the seat of the ASEAN Secretariat.


Tourism Site

Jakarta have some tourism site that interesting to us to visit. There are Traditional House Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Monumen Pancasila Sakti, Kepualauan Seribu, Gereja Katedral, Mesjid Istiqlal, Pusat pertokoan modern di berbagai tempat, Monumen Satria Mandala, Museum Wayang, Museum Bahari, Kebun
BinatangRagunan, Kota Lama, Tugu Monas, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Planetarium and 
Monumen National.



Monumen Nasional 
We all called it Monas, right ?? yeah, Monas is the famous tower in Indonesia and one of the tourism site in Jakarta.The National Monument (Indonesian: Monumen Nasional, abbreviated Monas) is a 132 metre tower in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia. It is the national monument of the Republic of Indonesia, built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesian independence.Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno. Monas was opened to the public in 1975. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil. The monument and the museum are open daily from 08.00 - 15.00 Western Indonesia Time (+7) throughout the week except for the last Monday of each month when the monument is closed.


Traditional Houses

Privince of DKI Jakarta is also have traditional house . they have oe named Rumah 
Kebaya. This is the picture of Rumah Kebaya.


House Kebaya

Traditional costume
Jakarta have a traditional costume named abang none or demang.

Women: To wear batik kebaya The mixed with fabric. Head wearing a transparent shawl.

Traditional music instrument

Tehyan

Tehyan is the traditional music of Jakarta or Betawi . This instrument is derived from the Chinese who
 brought the first offspring Hua Thiong settled or stop in Indonesia .
Tehyan has 3 types , namely Sukong , Tehyan and Kong Ahyan . 
The most fundamental difference lies in the shape of its size .
 Sukong when viewed from its shape has the largest size with the basic tone of " G " with a high decibel
 sound pick (also called Bass ) and Kongahyan has the smallest size with basic tone " D "
 (also called Melody ) . While Tehyan commonly called Rythem with medium size between
 Sukong and Tehyan who have basic tone " A " .
