DI YOGYAKARTA
The Special
Region of Yogyakarta: Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, or DIY) is a
region of Indonesia on the island of Java. The city of Yogyakarta is the
capital of the region.Yogyakarta is historically and culturally part of the
Central Java region, although it is now a separate administrative entity. It is
the only region in Indonesia that is still governed by a pre-colonial monarchy,
the Sultan of Yogyakarta, who serves as the hereditary governor of the region.
Other than the special capital territory of Jakarta, it is the smallest region
of Indonesia.In Javanese it is pronounced [joɡjaˈkartɔ],
and named after the city of Ayodhya in Javanese-Hindu mythology.The Dutch name
of the Special Region is Djokjakarta.

Yogyakarta have some tourism site, such
as Keraton Jogjakarta, Pantai Parang
Tritis, Istana Air Taman Sari, Pantai Baron, Pantai Krakal, Pantai Kukup,Goa
Kiskendo, Kota Gede, Kali Urang, Candi Prambanan, Monumen Pangeran Diponegoro

Candi Prambanan
Candi Prambanan or Candi Rara Jonggrang is a 9th-century Hindu
temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia, dedicated to the Trimurti, the
expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the
Destroyer (Shiva). The temple compound is located approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) northeast of
the city of Yogyakarta on the boundary between Central Java and Yogyakarta
provinces.
The temple compound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest Hindu
temple site in Indonesia, and one of the biggest in Southeast Asia. It is
characterized by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple
architecture, and by the towering 47-metre-high (154 ft) central building
inside a large complex of individual temples. Prambanan attracts many visitors from across
the world.
